Nice mock up even it is a decade old one, I hope to see the updated one sooner or later if you want to.
The length of it seems to be around 3.5 Km.
As for the superlaser obviously it is not the Assertor’s version (which is 200 petatons per shot) so I guess it will be like 1/10 the power or less. (20 petatons or less per shot)
May you please make the starship ground vehicles and weapons emplacements of the 7,8,9 so that we can see them up close. Your artwork is excellent top of the line and completely out of this world man. I will respect a non if you chose that with upgraded specifications and full ones. Keep up with the near-perfection that is your work
The Anon#3 star cruiser is a different ship from the Tyrant. Fractal said the Anon#3 will be designed as a pursuit cruiser which focus on escalation speed.
He even made a starting model of it like this:

I know all that buddy. But thanks all the same.
Apologies, I was referencing the uniqueness of its hull shape
Right? I think that Anon3 needs some love eventually. Might be sort of a tossup between doing the full cruiser version of this or that. Though could do my interdictor cruiser conversion on the Anon3 and keep two versions of this as Old Republic light star cruisers.
Hope to see you do that Fractal. As for the Interdictor Cruiser why not do that conversion on the Compellor? As it is bigger all around than the Tyrant and Anon#3 cruiser.
Too big and too good a hull to waste on it. My backstory was that given how small the Anon3 was that as an extreme-speed platform it essentially failed a la Vengeance as a line combatant except against extremely under-tonned opposition, and so converted to secondary roles that the acceleration was actually well suited for.

Hm, so a pursuit interdictor well-armed/shielded enough to trap & duel destroyer-ballpark targets & fast enough to support cruiser squads from a safe distance? I could see Anon 3 handling that with aplomb against most CIS designs. Assuming the thing’s grav-well domes are even large enough to protrude, I’d stick ’em up alongside that ‘spar’ at the superstructure’s base.

Also sounds like a good way to make some decent royalties ala selling it to the Corporate Sector.

No auxiliary drive on her? In any case, I really do feel her scale now that I’ve seen such a prominent sublight!

That “Mini-Fin” between the main engine thrusters is yet another subtle hint towards its late Republic origin. Not as prominent as in the Acclamators and Venators yet not completely gone as in the final designs and later pure Imperial vessels.
Another thing I noticed is that if you remove the ring structure, scale the whole hull down and switch out the bridge for an Acclamator one (design wise, not scale) you would probably get something very similar to the fanon Valiant-class Star Destroyer.

Speaking of late-Republic ship features: this thing’s Imperator I-esque bridge module now has me wondering what type of command-tower topping would be most likely for the Mandator line (or at least the -I; II & III *probably* weren’t packing Venator/Proclamator-style layouts).

The closest thing that Fractal has done to a Mandator is probably the Legator, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he just reused that bridge model.

I’d be sorely tempted to slap the Venator’s double tower on a few early-build Mandator-Is for novelty, but you’re probably right.

In Legends there exists another model of Republic Battlecruiser, the Maelstrom-class, which is explicitly stated to have the Venator-style double bridges.

So at least three PT-era designs (and at least one mass-produced) with that flavor of command module. Neat.

According to Wookieepedia, the Maelstrom-class had “a long and thin delta-shaped hull and double command bridges perched over the stern.” Which is somewhat odd since it is stated to carry only 96 fighters, a veritable joke for a battlecruiser-grade vessel (but of course more than i.e. an Allegiance can field) and which puts into question why it would have the dual bridge design at all. It’s weaponry is impressive though so maybe the second bridge was for fire control and direction purposes rather than fighter coordination.

I have zero clue how much software/sensor space your average cruiser’s PD grid needs, but Clone Wars ships might’ve found the extra C&C handy for that & small-craft direction when dealing with droid swarms. Depending on the Maelstrom’s actual hangar shape/volume (which I *also* have zero idea about-only reference pic I found was dorsal), that number might also be an ‘Impstars can only fit a wing’-style lowball.

You could just have the scenario where the Maelstrom is designated as a battlecruiser under the Old Republic/Peacetime/Local Sector scale, just like the 1200m “Cruiser” Mon Cals.
Under the New Order/Wartime/Galactic scale that Saxton maximalists like, it might just be an overgrown line destroyer.

Sadly there is no information on the length or reactor volume of this class, although Wookiepedia mentions a Maelstrom-vessel having 45,000 crew + 15.000 troops, possibly hinting at their ballpark. Although, considering the 600m Dreadnaught is stated to need a 16.000 crew while a much bigger Venator can do with a mere 7400 this probably isn’t a good comparison value. It does say however that the Maelstrom was introduced in 20 BBY, thus well into the Clone Wars already going so I doubt they would assign the Peacetime scale to the class.
That’s basically an ISD in Imperial terms. Old Republic – depends on if it’s a Clone Wars ship or not. Clone crews seem to run pretty lean for a given size ship.

Looks like this would be a perfect ship for my fleet~! I look forward to seeing her finished!
So Fractal I notice about this Catamaran superlaser ship in your StarDestroyer.Net posts and there was your mock up model images of the ship on this post: http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic.php?p=3055081#p3055081
But the links to these images seems to be gone for some reason. If you still have the mock up model of that ship could you show it here?
That was a long time ago, and built off of ECR’s descriptions. I’m not sure I’d keep the current arrangement if done again.
Links are dead ish
Open them in a new tab. Worked for me.
Spoiler Alert: She chonky.

Where do you get these numbers from?
The 200 Petatons is from this post you made about the Assertor’s Superlaser power: http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic.php?p=3222519#p3222519
The others are just me guessing the catamaran ship’s superlaser power and it’s length.

This this would fit right in with Anon#3..
And I don’t mean that in a bad way!
