Depending on how heavily armed you’re thinking and how dedicated to transport it needs to be, you could consider the Intersector-Class Sloop. Fractal described it as “an Imperial Millenium (sic) Falcon” in the first WIP. https://fractalsponge.net/?p=329

stunning, as always. You have such a good eye for detail and for designs that are consistent and coherent that I much prefer your versions where they differ from the official ones.

I presume that the deepdock will be primarily used for quick response repairs, quick deploy force projection, and major salvage & construction operations?
Depending on the internal space in those bigger hangar apertures, probably light warship construction, like Carracks or Lancers?
looks like it can connect with other units, and create a big thing.

This already looks like something the Rebel Alliance would want to steal & turn into a mobile HQ. Curious to see how self sufficient you make this; in terms of armament, supplies it can hold & types of repairs it can preform

Hey Fractal, What’s your opinion on the Venator-Class and Resurgent-Class Star Destroyers respectively? What do you think is good or bad about them and what would you improve or change if you designed them yourself?
Well, the Resurgent likely has heavy turbolasers in the triple-digit teraton range and ion cannons in the single-digit teraton range. Medium turbolasers in the single-digit teraton range and medium ion cannons in the mid gigaton range. Light turbolasers in the mid gigaton range and ion cannons in the triple-digit megaton range.
Hey, it’s well-armed. And I think having the weapons spread around the ship, rather than condensed in a few areas puts it ahead of the Imperial-class design. But even with that firepower, I don’t like that it has a relatively small fighter compliment and a large crew. I would have thought automation would be a huge plus for capital ships.
The Venator could likely carry about 6-8 full tie fighter wings and Imperial about 10 this thing might hold up to about 15 tie fighter wings. It is not a true carrier. The carrier version of the supremacy might hold hundreds of tie fighter wings. !44 tie fighters plus special forces is much better than the imperial class
Bro, a tie fighter wing is 72 fighters. An ISD can carry 1 Tie fighter wings aka 6 Squadrons. The venator could probably carry something like 8 Tie wings, if not more as they’re smaller and easier to store than the usual fighters carried by a venator. The Resurgent-class can carry two wings or 144 tie fighters.
I know that 6-8 wings are 432-576 tie fighters. the 10 or 12 was because the imperial class is much bigger I know it carries a single wing of about 72 fighters and the 15 -18 wings were because the resurgent is much bigger than an imperial class. I know it carries 2 full wings of fighters maybe even more than that if you stripe most of their weapon emplacements off the ship and carry the fighters on the outer hull to
It is misleading going off of just the wings it carries on duty. As it turns out, most ISDs don’t carry even close to their max capacity of fighters, and only carry a few due to logistical, staffing, and economical reasons. This is not the case with older ships like the Venator that worked under a different war doctrine where their ships were almost fully stocked when on duty (which makes sense if you are a designated carrier). Also remember that if you remove all the ground support forces from an ISD I variant you get back a TON of space that could be used for even more fighter wings.
The ICS for the Impstar shows 8 squadron capacity fighter bays on the starboard side of the main docking bay alone. If this is mirrored on the port side (a reasonable assumption, I believe) then ISD-I can carry 2 wings of TIE/ln and/or TIE/in plus four TIE/sa squadrons without sacrificing any of its ground complement. http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/books/dk/isdbay2.jpg
Best I can tell from the ICS, Resurgent operates at about half its maximum TIE fighter capacity as standard. I could be interpreting the ICS incorrectly, but with the TIE storage/maintenance systems the FO use it looks like it would be more difficult to convert a Resurgent to carry more than 4 wings than it would be to convert an ISD to carry more than 2. http://www.myths.com/pub/movies/star-wars/exploded-section-books/SW_ships_007.jpg
Looking more closely at the ISD ICS I see that I was wrong. First, there are 9 bays each side, not 8. Second, they’re not squadron strength, they hold 4 fighters each, making for a total of 72.
ISD’s main bay could probably hold about a wing’s worth of fighters on ceiling racks, but would most likely have to sacrifice AT-AT and/or shuttle capacity to achieve it.
I get the impression AT-ATs & similar-scale vehicles make up a far broader footprint than even the Lambdas; if nothing else shuttle dorsal fins might be easily detachable for deep storage. Repulsortanks everywhere, at least if I’m not stuck on some theater-shield-siege gig.
Now this is an intriguing idea! Do you envision it as being modular, mobile components that could assemble into a space dock? Perhaps such a structure could serve as a temporary supply and repair point for a long campaign against a fortress world or other formidable force.

How big is does it have a hyperdrive weapons shields armor communications.
SW ships tend to have coms and shields standard. Since this thing is military, it probably has some weapons and armor, but they may be minimal. And the name ‘mobile’ implies a hyperdrive, but it may be tugged or something instead
Point Defence Concussion Missile and Proton Torpedo Launchers. Point Defence Laser Cannon and Ion Cannons. Light Ray and Particle Shields Class 4 Hyperdrive. And Light Armor and Hull Plating To
I am always amazed by your designs.
Do you by chance, have original designs of an Imperial armed transport with a crew of lets say, 10? Was going to use it for a fanfiction.

heavily armed to say the least
Maybe though maybe not as well

if it doesn’t have communications systems, someone really needs to be fired.
