So Fractal I know you are aware of these 3 bumps underneath the Imperator with 2 on the right and 1 on the left like this: https://fractalsponge.net/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/isd73.jpg
But in Star Wars Rebels there seems to be 4 of them 2 on both right and left and seems to be mirrored like the relentless here:/revision/latest?cb=20160317152213
So what your thoughts on it?
OK this is getting annoying why are the pictures that I found and posted here that are normally big or bigger than the entire screen then later it shrink to become too small to see properly and stay like that, why does it keep happening?!?

Would it be safe to say that the bridge on the ISD (I & II), Compellor, Impellor, Assertor, Allegiance, Procursator, Bellator, Legator & Executor would have been similar sizes (and relatively similar)?
I’m curious if I could use a bit of ‘modellers licence’ and make one for a scale model and reproduce it for the rest of the ships…
Yes. They should be broadly similar, apart from the exact surface detail and the linear array arrangement.

I’m sure anyone know about the oct barrettes being heavy turbolasers right? But in rogue squadron 2 & 3 those were changed into ion cannons I wonder why?
Here the example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjd0udFGtx0 (Mission start at 0:41)
Games are fiddly like that. Remember how there were no flank turrets at all like that in the old X-Wing games? But in universe, I imagine the turrets are interchangeable to a certain extent.
Right although I never play the X-wing games I do get the idea of the Imperator having none of them in the game due to the star wars lore’s bias on capital ships having no light turrets to kill fighters because it say so for some reasons.
But Fractal do you think it is possible that those oct barrettes turbolasers could be changed into ion cannons while looking the same as the former turbolasers, something like a 32/40 teraton heavy ion cannons right or not?

are the small round bowl-shaped things on the top of the hull laser/turbolaser emplacements or just greebles?
edit: they look a bit small to be weapon spots, think I answered my own question

Are you going to add the quad heavy turbo-laser turrets in the trenches?

So… Do you, by any chance, scan in actual model parts to populate various assets or do you just make it look that way because that’s how they built the actual originals?
Because I swear I can see a carburetor, oil pan, valve covers, pistons pieces, battlements, radio/antenna arrays, and gun emplacements from an assortment of WWII battleship kits…
I don’t scan anything – it’s all made by hand. But yes, I try to largely follow the original construction for something like this, and so you’ll see lots of King George V battleship parts and such because that’s how they detailed the original.
Not to mention half the series’ heroines & a notable percentage of Rebel/Resistance leaders/officers. Honestly, the sequel trilogy & R1 have proven disappointingly short of nonhumans in central casting or leadership (RIP Raddus & Ackbar). I’m offhandedly hoping Chewie lives through Ep 9 & goes on to forge some kinda Outer Rim coalition against the Empire/FO-enabling Core.
Well, that’s actually because it was filmed in England…
The specific models would have largely depended on what was in the local hobby shop’s “sale” bin…

So Fractal about the new updated oct barrettes 40 teraton caliber turbolasers will it be on other ships that have them after you finish the Imperator and if so then will you do the same for the quad barrettes variant?

Hmm… I just noticed that the axial defense laser batteries are superfiring… is that an upgrade for the ISD2? I remember that the ISD1’s turrets got in the way of each other.

A beautiful model. But it seems like a bit of a mix between an Imperial class I and an Imperial class II Star Destroyer.
The 8 turbo laser turrets on the back of the body as well as the shield domes are from an Imperial class II, while the three turrets in the middle of the ridge of the body and the nose are from an Imperial class I. Though 99% of viewers won’t notice that probably. 😛
It is indeed an ISD II, it will just have the Smaller and PD that a ISD I would have. Much like Vader’s Devastator, just with even more Turbos. Like an ISD 1.5.

Awsome keep up the great work Fractal. Although from the looks of it I guess unfortunately there won’t be any medium turbolasers then right?
those appear to be lasers, just eyeballing, I believe they’re the same as the ones on the Velox. I’m not sure about MTLs but I would guess there will probably be a few (it wouldn’t make very much sense to fix the issues of the Imperator and then remove it’s ability to take out small frigates/corvettes effectively…)

…sweet Sithspit, those brim-trench lights nail that Classic Model(R) ambience. Spiffy axial bow details as well.

that might explain why the original trilogy imperial officers all have british accents.

Pretty sure a number of those mounts in the brim trenches (‘specially the bigger notches) are MTL.
