Dunno what that is, but it might just *look* like a vent. Heat sink, maybe?

Yep, still loving this thing’s mix of deep brim notches, Impstar I-style comm antenna & sloping, terraced aft superstructure.

Designs for the Onager crossbow star destroyer for Ep. 9 is out, anybody want to talk about it’s design? Note: know that I’ve not seen any details onto it nor its capabilities and I’d rather not dive too much into the possible film roles since I want to save that for an enjoyment in the theater; this discussion os just an overview from the aesthetic point of view.

Yes it reinforces my decision to definitely not bother seeing this one.

I still think it needs a tail on the back like a SSD to offset the amount of ship that is facing forward.

Fantails work for some doomwedges, but this one seems to have enough going on already.

I agree; it doesn’t have one on the original.

Every one of your projects is better than what actually was used in the movies… Please do new orthos with (at least) the Bellator, Procurator, Proclamator, Evakmar, Impellor, ISD, Procursator, VSD, Escort Carrier, Galleon, Fulgor, Vigil and sloop. I love the comparison shots you do with the ISD or TIE fighter for your space ships and the AT-AT for your ground effect stuff. Those seem to be the iconic units from the movies.

Really liking this bridge superstructure, makes me wonder what it would look like on a ship that doesn’t follow the Kuat battle-wedge style.

This is making me want to see the conventional light cruiser that was modified to make the Tyrant. Imperial cruisers in between ISDs and battlecruisers have always been very underrepresented.

Maybe it was based off on the MTFC

That’s not how this works. For one, the Tyrant is more than an order of magnitude more massive than the 1150 meter MTFC, and it is clearly also based on a conventional wedge shaped fleet hull, unlike the anorexic thin midsection of the MFTC. Assuming the Tyrant is Kuati from the bridge, they’re not even from the same company and design lineage.

Lastly, while it’s possible to take a battlewagon and strip it down to make a carrier or fleet auxiliary, turning a light support ship hull into a frontline combatant is more or less impossible. A ship is either designed with the powerplant and structural integrity for high end battle, or it isn’t, and you can’t add that in a refit.

Ah I thought the TaskForce Cruiser was bigger
