Yeah, Fractal’s Ventator aft looks far more KDY than the original, it looks like the back end of an ISD with extra bits stuck in it! 😋 As I’ve mentioned, I was already a fan of the Venator’s look when I first saw it in AotC, but Fractal’s looks far more ‘Empire’ inspired than ‘Republic’. 😁👌

Holy cow, you actually did it! My favorite Star Destroyer of them all! And you did it more justice then it ever was previously possible! Great job as always, looking forward to the final version of it. Though I have to ask, why didn’t you do it sooner, seeing as you’ve done many other ships of similar era/design and the Venator is the most representative of that time?

Probably because Fractal likes to find the right inspiration before her tackles a particular project. (Most of us have been waiting for him to do the Mandator for ages, hehe! 😉) Plus, with the level of detail and revamping going into his interpretation of the Venator, I’m guessing a lot of preparatory work before hand.

What is the floating ring within each of the engine housings? Or is that just an effect of the engine glow/flare?
