I for my part imagine every element having its own hyperdrive, but that´s just me.

Problem with that is even during the Imperial era you cant predict the precise spot that an object exiting hyperspace will come out at, so each section coming out of hyperspace at once in slightly different spots would likely result in a lot of accidents. I think they’re all just connected as one ship for simplicity sake.

Each engine has a hyperdrive. Only one is used at a time though.

Can there be more bubbles

I think the idea is you can add as many ‘container bubbles’ as you want, but not sure if that would mean you would need a bigger/more powerful drive unit?

Approx 7.8km. Though that may vary. 🙂

A secondary function will be like mobile base/space station/city.

Hadn’t thought about this one in a while. The original source puts the diameter of the force field spheres at 800 meters, with the ability to daisy-chain 20 or more. The source for this (the WEG Adventure Black Ice) appears to use different sizes (~1300+ meters in diameter). I hadn’t noticed that the field spheres were connected purely by energy; I’d always assumed they had a spar down the middle to facilitate power and tensor field linkages.

Another possible concept for this would be to put a repeater or power generating unit midway through the consist of force bubbles. Real world railroads do this in the form of DPU (distributed power units) by putting remotely controlled engines in the middle or end of a train. It’d have to be a custom unit, thought, as the design of the FSCV doesn’t lend itself to fitting in the middle. However, the older streamlined diesel engines made use of ‘B’ units (cabless engines synched with the controls of an ‘A’ unit leading the train), so something similar might be an option here, particularly for larger vessels.

Also, an FSCV drive unit without any force spheres attached would make an excellent space tug for larger vessels. In many ways, the FSCV is more like a barge tugboat pushing a raft of barges…

Well, I happen to think that this ship is very bizarre and super freaky looking !
Excellent !

What’s the purpose of anything like this anyways? As cool as it is, I just don’t see any particular use for this…

Oh, I see. So it’s just a large cargo freighter? Interesting.

Or Space Train

Hah, if not for Drew’s comment, I probably wouldn’t have found out that this is in fact a [Legends]canon ship! Thanks, Drew! Apparently it’s 7800m long. (Wookieepedia)
