I actually really like this design. falls in nicely to replace the venator in that size range without directly removing the victory from consideration for fleet use. Hoping to 3D print a variant of this one day in scale with the armada collection I’ve got going right now.

I’ve always enjoyed the specialized “pocket destroyer” concept. Feels much more true to life than the standard “make EVERYTHING a carrier” attitude that’s common in Star Wars. If you don’t mind my asking, how does this design compare with the Victory-class (size, firepower, performance, etc.)?
Also, looking through your galleries, I was wondering what your thoughts are on how common your designs were in the Imperial Navy. For example, were ships like the Procursator or Secutor fairly rare (limited production run measured in double – or even single – digits), or were they fairly popular models (hundreds, or even thousands in service) that just never gained the workhorse status (as an in-universe explanation for why we never saw them on-screen) that the Victory and Imperator lines did? And how many dreadnoughts like the Bellator- and Assertor-classes do you think the Empire managed to commission before everything went to hell during the Imperial Mutiny?
Anyway, thanks for putting in the time to make these awesome ships. They really fire up my imagination whenever I see them!
As far as i can tell the gun layout on this SD is much better than the ISD.

On the ventral side of the ship there’s a row of laser cannons but it looks like there’s two missing, am I right?

Are the dual cannons on the side laser cannons or turbo lasers, also what is the full armament of this ship?

Hey fractal you said you going to make procursator star destroyer variants right? so what kind of variants will you make like the multi-role or something?

Isn’t this Ansel Hsiao’s. I did reasearch and it gave him credit. When I went to his profile on….oh that is you. Sorry. You are my favorite artist and this is my favorite ship. My second favorite is still one of yours. 🙂
Oh so you don’t mind them make these ships different from your’s then, like the allegiance’s 3 axial 720 teratons HTL be replace with ions and having missile bays?
By away from what i see from the EAW mods i think two that use the procursator are the empire at war battlefront commander and the empire at war remake.
Speaking of the Allegiance fractal I saw this picture of the heavy star destroyer but look different:?format=1000w.
The tower bridge is smaller and there is 8 720 teraton turbolaser ball turrets instead of 3 so what up with that?
The T-shaped bridge tower was similar to the command tower on other Imperial Star Destroyer designs, like the

Trim, clean-lined light destroyer here; the launch bay seems to be all but on top of its reactor, but I’m digging that spinal turret row & brim-trench missile array. I get the impression this would make a decent Victory-series successor, compensating for a slight firepower discrepancy with better shielding & sublight acceleration.
Well, I stand corrected re: the launch bay on this puppy; the latest batch of views place it further forward than I assumed. Those doors seem a prudent addition as well. As ever, thanks for sharing.

Length is 1200 meters. The main armament are three triple mount 175 Tetraton turrets.
Tetraton? I think you mean Teraton?

Fractalsponge is Ansel Hsiao.
Those are some pretty huge engines in the back there, I would not be wrong to assume this pocket Impstar can haul ass right?
Hey Fractal what your thoughts on the empire at war mod that use this ship but not it’s missile bays?
What mod?
They can do whatever with the game mechanics.

They photoshopped one of my renders.
Right then and this is where it came from:
http://www.starships-of-the-universe.com/new-gallery/rh9tnd3qmprgso25kdjt0gjbe1ux6v.
But it look like they got good Photoshop skills to make it look convincing enough to be a same ship and fool some people but us.
Would it maybe be possible to do a top down render of the Procursator?
Not from a jedi
Those three tri HTL how much power do they shoot out in Teratons?
Very nice light destroyer model! Is this an original creation or based on an existing design?
Largely an original kitbash (made it in a weekend) – getting long in the tooth.
I just notice the communication tower on this star destroyer is the same as the ISD (mark 1) but laid down on it’s back.
Wait never mind it is the same with the other ships that have this communication tower.
But if they are the same then why are they laid down anyway is it because to make it harder to destroyer or something?

I like the Pocket Star Destroyer consent. I’m going to build one for Armada.
