It looks exactly what I think a Vindicator and Gladiator class Star Destroyers would look like combined together. Well done.

To be honest I was a bit surprised about this one as at first glance I didn’t grasp which role the Provocator would fill within both the Republic and Imperial navy as there are already other ship classes existing to fill the role of a medium brawler ship.

When looking at it alone without any other ships around to compare, the Provocator reminds me of both the Vindicator and the Procursator first, even before realizing that it is actually an elongated Gladiator without hangar and more weapon emplacements.

In some of the comparison shots however it is also depicted together with the Proclamator Heavy Frigate and the Victory I-class Star Destroyer, so is it actually in their ballpark and could also easily 1-vs-1 a Dreadnaught or Venator?

Have you ever considered making any Halo ships?

I can actually picture this being a modification of the gladiator ((instead of vice versa)) later in the civil war, say a year or two post endor. Its like the vindicators bigger brother to take on the new republic’s growing space superiority…

Have you ever considered creating a model of the cr92a or tartan? They are my favorite escort ships for the empire along with the carrack… I think an SD along with a group of these ships is a great combo… a ground vehicle Idea could be the S1 firehawke or the HAVw A5. Just suggestions if you’re ever out of ideas lol.

Great work man, I wish I had your talent! Love just scrolling through your ships and models

Fractal just keeps knocking it outta the park. Eventually, lol; he’s going to run out of smaller SD’s and he’ll be forced to tackle the Big guys like the Executor and Sovereign, Eclipse I and II. I know he said making the Assertor-class Star Dreadnought taxed him to his limit, but I would kill for his version of Papa Palpatine’s two flagships.

Just need the Acclamator now and you can go a nice multi ship line up with all the Wedges.

From the small Gladiator all the way to the Allegiance size wise.

Any bigger ones will probably be too big…

What is the length of this ship? Does it still have any hangar at all?

I don’t know the length but I do see the side hangar doors.

So the Tector version of the Gladiator….no big hanger, but more guns and armor. Got a soft spot for the Gladiator, and who doesn’t love to see more of Fractal’s work.

How wide are those side hangars? Around 10-30 meters in width?

I’ve seen this styled hangar a lot on your builds, like in the Bellator WIP #7 in the hangar strips. I like how it’s a retractable door instead of the traditional star wars shield screen.

I love it! It’s longer and got more weapons, but still retains that cool bridge and the steps leading up to it. Beautiful.

What would this be as far as class. It seems way heavier as far as armament than say a Vindicator, which is a frigate. Would we say this would line more of a cruiser??

Think of it as pre-razee Gladiator, it is more heavily armed, but pays in mobility, being sluggish (just like Victory I), which is not as huge of the issue for defensive fleets, but man, you won’t catch anything reasonably speedy, which lead to design being razeed, giving much lighter and thus more mobile Gladiator, which got more attention due to foreign posting.
As for designations – nah, Star Cruiser is much larger. It would still be a Star Frigate, though on the heavier side alternatively one of the lightest Star Destroyer designs.

Yeah I went back and saw the Gladiator at a Frigate so this would only mean to be more along those lines just heavier on the fire power.

At this point you really should do the arquitens cruiser from the new canon theres 3 different variants. Arquitens Command, Arquitens light, and Class 546

This situation with the Provocator and the Gladiator reminds me of the Compellor and Impellor

I think that design wise, Gladiator is razee of Provocator, because all that shit stuck upon that engine assembly do not look like it will improve mobility characteristics

When I saw this, I imagined it as a Vindicator but with a Gladiator command bridge

So it’s essentially a non-carrier version of the Gladiator? I like it, I’d imagine it’s what would get sent in when someone needs proper anti-ship firepower but a Victory or Procursator would be overkill
