Good eye. Single-light-turbolaser-with-single-heavy-laser turrets, if I’m not mistaken.
I wonder if the port side has any weaponry. If it does, it’s still too small a detail for Fractal to include without issue.
Starboard side, below the second and third ‘windows’. Just below the mid line.

The actual bridge is a bit too big.

Oh man, those details are great!

This is why I watch your progress so closely. I will wait for the finished product, and I think that it will be worth the wait.

Man, those plate-section closeups are just sweet!! Could spend hours analyzing and getting lost in the details. Excellent work so far, as usual. Thank you for sharing your in-progress pics. ๐

Hmm… pretty. Someday I’d love to see someone do an ‘initial production’ or ‘prototype’ version of the ISD. Give it some Venator style detailing… maybe the DBY-827s in the turret mounts instead of the octuples of the ISDII or the dual turbolaser and ion cannon mounts of the Imperial I-class.
Pretty good idea up until it gets in a fight with one of these ISDs. Those DSY-827’s were nice, but compared to an ISDs’ octuple HTL’s, well, there just isn’t any comparison.
With the much larger reactor, an ISD-I would be able to mount far more DBY-827 turrets than a Venator, with maybe as many as 12 per flank. The advantage of the heavy dual HTL turret and ion cannon of the ISD-I is easier localized shield penetration on tough targets like Lucrehulks, and more economic use of high-skill/politically reliable gunnery crews, but there’s nothing particularly wrong with mass DBY-827 as you see on the Legator.
Which super star destroyer your talking about the Executor? And if so no because Imperator Redux is Fractal’s first priority alongside more 4k renders. Also Fractal said if he make the Executor in full detail the polygon count will be 300 million that’s more than even the Assertor’s polygons!
So please wait until Fractal say he will make the Executor next.

So Fractal since this tower bridge have a amazing amount of detail would it be possible that this could be on other ships like the Allegiance, the Bellator and the Assertor or is it only for the Imperator, the Tector and the Dominator? (The Interdictor star destroyer)
It would be modified in detail structure for the Bellator and Assertor (multiple and larger bridges, larger back end to the module, merging of the module into much larger “neck” structures that flares out into the rest of the superstructure). For Allegiance it could actually be the same module.
Neat can wait for that for the Allegiance and as for the modified part that is also true for both the Compellor and the Impellor due to it’s three bridges right?
Amazing!
I’m fighting the need to put a functional reference on each of those greebles…
Those six window-like features – three on each side of the bridge – any idea what they could be?
Interchangeable modular bays for different mission profiles perhaps? A luxury command center for visiting Moffs, specialized electronic warfare equipment, additional point defense, special forces training rooms,
or experimental stealth generators. The possibilities are nearly endless.
According to the cutaway for the Executor command tower – which is a larger version of the same design on ISDs – they are something called “cosmic-ray detectors”.
Madness averted. ๐

Fractal, are you planning on making a Tector at some point?
So Fractal which part of the Imperator will be the most difficult to model during the redux?
Are those AA canons on the front part of the tower ?

Oh man, I feel like some kind of noob. Where did you spot them?

It’d be a neat thought experiment at least.
That is pretty neat idea.

Not a bad idea, perhaps it would fit in with the currently unseen Victory-class first brought up in the Tarkin book.
Can you make the super star destroyer?

Don’t go there – that way lies madness.

Could be modular equipment bays… To me they look like they could be some sort of hangar…
Maybe protected hangars for high-rank bridge staff. Maybe launch chutes for escape pods.
You are on the road to madness.
They’re obviously compartments for dancing girls. Just like what you’d find in Duke Nukem 3D.

Yes ๐
I must say, it looks absolutely gorgeous, but isnโt the bridge window a little… oversized ? It looks like itโs around 20m wide.
Oops sorry, that comment was mine.
