Is there and if so what is the intended purpose of the ridge on the bottom of the ship? I could imagine it being used for cargo, troop transport, or even fighter hangers.
it’s a hangar. you can see TIEs being dropped out of it in one of the original Vigil posts

I know the Spector exists mostly for this purpose but I’d love to see a Vigil launch a Squadron of TIE Hunters.
