What general power level are those quad turbolaser turrets? They visually remind me of those found on the Acclamator in ICS pictures, as well as those found on Phantom Menace Lucrehulks.
They’re the same type of weapon that Fractalsponge’s Carrack has.
As he said on Stardestroyer.net:
Carrack supposedly has 10 “heavy” turbolasers – but there’s no way those are real HTL, not on a ship 300m long. So, they’re likely MTL, just “heavy” for something heavy corvette sized.
So these ones will be Medium Turbolasers as well. They look bulkier than those his Star Destroyers carry, but that may just be an example of “older designs are bigger and bulkier for the same level of power”.

Awesome as always!!! Thank for your hard work! Sure lots of people ask but are you planning on doing the Executor-class or maybe even Eclipse-class??? 😜

I actually kind of prefer the design of the back of the ship we see in the Mandalorian. Something about how the whole back is sloped on this one seems slightly off to me…
The republic color scheme does look awesome though.
Cruiser 546 isn’t a normal Arquitens, it’s a bit bigger and can launch star fighters which is impossible with the standard Arquitens. I wish The Mandalorian made some more distinctions between 546 and the normal ship.
Well, ignoring how the 546 changes size in between scenes, if you extract its size from the tie fighters when they launch out of the front hangar, it is actually pretty much exactly the same size as the original Arquitens, thus, in my head canon at least, I like to think of the 546 as simply the command cruiser variant of the normal Arquitens.
but that doesnt really makes sense since the proportions and features are off. the prow of the 546 is much shorter proportionally compared to the regular arquitens. not to mention the ventral hangar bays.
First of all, as this is the only Arquitens model that Fractal has made so far, and that Moff Gideon’s cruiser is the only live-action variation of the Arquitens that we have ever seen (Which thus obviously means that there will be discrepancies in proportions compared to animated renditions), we can’t really say with any authority that there really would be any major proportional differences between Arquitens variants.
Secondly, even if there were, it would still mean nothing. It could easily be explained that different variants would have slightly different proportions due to slightly different hull structures. As for different features, of course they would exist. That is what makes a variant a variant.
The arquitens has a very inconsistent size. The one that appears in rebels is 230-ish meters long. Wookieepedia had it incorrectly listed as 325 meters long (and scaled accordingly) for a good while. When the model for battlefront II and later squadrons was developed, they made their arquitens 325 meters in length. This results in two arquitens variants: The smaller one from rebels and larger one from the games (which would be proportional to live-action). The 546 also brought with it a bunch of scale issues, mainly with the front hangar opening and the bridge. The bridge is much larger than the old arquitens and this is evident from the outside. The front mandibles are shorter proportionally to the rest of the 546 even if they might be about the same length as the arquitens. Depending on if you scale it with darktroopers from the underside launch bay, TIEs from the frontal hangar or the bridge, you end up with a length around 460-480m. The official length of the 546 is 325m.
Essentially, what I’m trying to say is that the arquitens is inconsistent to all hell. I was just pointing out the proportional difference in my original comment. My personal headcanon:
Arquitens light cruiser (230m), Arquitens command cruiser (325m), Class 546 (325m) and Arquitens 546 (480m)
I realised right after posting the paragraph, the 546 is a scale mess. We’ve only seen Gideon’s cruiser as an example and it loses/gains around 160-140m depending on the shot. Not to mention the tiny lambda, the slave I shrinking in comparison and 4 foot dark troopers. There’s a post on r/mawinstallation that’s fairly detailed. just look up “arquitens” on the subreddit
Where did you get the scaling for your 230-ish long Arquitens? I agree that scalings are messy, and it is virtually and practically impossible to get any real, definitive numbers. I know about the 546 scale mess, and there can be many different conclusions that you can to come to. I have simply always seen the Arquitens from rebels as larger than a Nebulon B, even though we never see them together. The Arquitens from TCW is a different matter, as the scalings of that one are simply an impossibility to handle. I guess what i am trying to say is that, depending on how you do the math, all Arquitens variants can be interpreted as the same size, which, in my mind at least, seems to be the most logical conclusion.

Would this type of Arquitens be classified as a star corvette or light star frigate
Given that Fractal calls both the Carrack (slightly more lightly armed than this ship) and the Vindicator (much more heavily armed than this ship) star frigates, it’s probably a star frigate in his classification system at least.
Depends on wether your going by the star wars classification system or Fractals.
If we’re going by the actual star wars one then this would be a light to medium cruiser.
If we’re going by Fractals then this would probably be a star frigate.

I don’t care if the Class 546 Arquitens in Republic livery is anachronistic. It’s just too wonderful looking of a ship. This is now the Arquitens in all eras (Clone Wars, Imperial, New Republic) in my head canon. All contradictory depictions are just creative license, like the ridiculously long “neck” of the ISD in Rebels.

It’s beautiful the republic livery looks amazing on it.
54.. 7?
Also, whats its fighter compliment? It looks like a full squadron in the belly with 3 wide, stacked 4 across. I’m assuming there’s a conveyance between the landing bay and the magazine for the nose catapult.
O my bad my finger must have slipped and I didn’t noticed I meant 546 cruiser.
The official lore says it can house 8 tie fighters and 2 transports.
Based on what can be seen on the model there’s at least 6 tie fighters in the ventral hanger and the 2 transports probably are housed in the nose hanger area and are launched and received from there.
On Fractal’s Arquitens, the nose hangar is not a hangar, more of a docking port. An Alphabet transport can park itself in the little notch and stick its nose/ramp into the ship. Fighters will not be parked there.
I think I might disagree with you. On other Arquitens variants, like the strange one in star wars rebels, you are correct that that is what the nose prongs are for, however they were also, not uncommonly, used to carry about a quarter of a squadron of tie variants. In addition, this Arquitens variant is very specifically the Command Cruiser variant, that is, the one in the mandalorian. In that show the forward hangar system was very clear, and on the front of this ship, the thing you think looks like an air lock looks to me more like it is a blast door that would slide to the side to let the fighters out.
Fractal’s rendition is an adaptation of the Mandalorian version, not its replica. In doing so, he have deemed the prong opening isn’t for fighter launches.
Has fractal stated that somewhere? I’m completely fine with being mistaken, and if he has said that somewhere, I would most certainly be wrong. However, I don’t know of a time when he has affirmed or denied anything on the subject, so without knowing the true intent, all of the evidence that I can see suggests that it is simply a hangar bay blast door.
I found all the laser turrets- but where are the doors behind which the missiles are launched from? Are they in the bow, to port and starboard, ventral, Or dorsal?
The four light twin weapons (2 on the starboard “trench”, 2 on the port) look to me like heavy laser cannons – exactly the same weapon class as on the Crusader Corvette (the Crusader version has them each paired with a light turbolaser to produce an asymmetric point defence weapon turret) – but unlike the Crusader the mount consists of two identical heavy laser cannon rather than a laser and a turbolaser.
If you zoom in on one of those, and zoom in on the light half of the Crusader’s asymmetical turrets, the details exactly match.
What general power level are those quad turbolaser turrets? They visually remind me of those found on the Acclamator in ICS pictures, as well as those found on Phantom Menace Lucrehulks.

slight correction: Class 546 cruiser is 381m in length.

O yeah for anyone wanting to know the weapons on the arquitens 547 cruiser it goes as following.
4 quad turbolaser turrets
4 light twin turbolaser turrets
4 turreted quad laser cannons
2 turreted dual laser cannons
2 heavy ordinance launchers
54.. 7?
Also, whats its fighter compliment? It looks like a full squadron in the belly with 3 wide, stacked 4 across. I’m assuming there’s a conveyance between the landing bay and the magazine for the nose catapult.

Based on what can be seen on the model there’s at least 6 tie fighters in the ventral hanger and the 2 transports probably are housed in the nose hanger area and are launched and received from there.
I would have guessed that it would be able to hold about 2 squadrons. 1 squadron in the underbelly hangar, and 1 in the nose hangar system.
On that I couldn’t say the nose hanger is closed off so we can’t see inside.
And the ventral hanger we can only see 6 tie fighters and nothing else.
So unless Fractal comments on it I really couldn’t say.
On Fractal’s Arquitens, the nose hangar is not a hangar, more of a docking port. An Alphabet transport can park itself in the little notch and stick its nose/ramp into the ship. Fighters will not be parked there.

I found all the laser turrets- but where are the doors behind which the missiles are launched from? Are they in the bow, to port and starboard, ventral, Or dorsal?
On top in front of the bridge on the hull there are two tubes that are open and have what looks like rather large warheads sitting inside.
Look at a close up of the first picture with republic colours on it and you’ll see it.
They look to me like they’re bristling with cables. I thought those were some kind of sensor dome.
The four doors on the bow of the Venator are what I think of when I think of missile doors.

That’s entirely possible. I could very we’ll be wrong.
But for my own personal head canon I’m gonna stick with light twin turbos.
I loooove the Republic colors.
absolutely GORGEOUS
It’s… BEAUTIFUL
Very nice. I have been watching this develop all along. Your renderings of small ships are my favorite.
Absolutely perfect. Excellent job once again!
