One of my fav ships! I always thought this would have been a great ship to turn proton torp/missle boat. Replace the salon pod with a launcher and it would have been a great hit and run ship against cruisers and destroyers.

As a 90s kid, I always loved the Consular/Charger. I remember when Episode 1 was new, and I always thought the Consular was so cool in the opening scene. When they brought it back for the Clone Wars TV show, the nerd in me geeked out.

The turrets remind me of the twin .50 caliber machine gun turrets of WWII PT boats.
On close examination they look to exactly match the “light half” of the Crusader-class corvette’s asymmetrical turrets (the heavy half was a light turbolaser, the light half was a heavy laser cannon).
