Is this model available for download? i would love to build this thing from scratch using wood/resin/plastic/metal in real life. I will credit you once it is finished of course.

You know I wonder what the different between the vertical (ISDII) and the flat (ISDI) comm array does the flat one have increase sensor range or something or it is just for looks?
OK what I meant to say is why the ISDII’s comm array flat instead of of being vertical? It is to make it a harder target to hit or it is for better sensor range?

I can see some spots on the front of the superstructure where the rendering has sort of “flaked”

Thank you so much for this. These are by far the best CGI shots of the Imperator II Star Destroyer from Star Wars that I have ever seen. And thank you for the 4k images, which will allow us to continue adoring these shots for many years to come.
The plan is to make this model totally obsolete with a new iteration. Will happen in relatively short order, once I get my act together post render-binge.
So wait Fractal you are going to make a new Imperator model as in like showing other weapons instead of just only Octo heavy turbolasers, adding actual hangers and both ship hull sides being mirrored?
So Fractal I know that this is not a Star Wars related question and you may not answer it because you don’t care about it or don’t have any knowledge of it but what do you think of the Battlestar ships designs like Galactica, Pegasus and Prometheus?
Not a huge fan of the actual Hunter design, so this version’s take on S-foils & wingtip guns is actually sorta neat…aside from the over-complicated bit where they swivel to deploy. Just fix ’em forward & give the thing an X1-style tail for extra systems juice.
Fanon design, just like the Legacy-class SD and the Valiant SD of the Republic.
Some game mods as well as Roleplaying forums around the net use an “Imperator III” with varying stats.
In some fanon circles there exist also “Victory III” SDs and “Venator II” SDs.

The Imperator-I has a double-decker comm array.
The ISDII has the same array as an ISDI, except it’s flat instead of vertical. And no, there’s no indication on the model that it’s rotatable.

Well I was thinking about how would any of these battlestars would fare against the Imperator class Star Destroyer.
Yes ! My favorite planet-wrecker of the bunch. Windows lighting is still the best way to evoke the scale of a ship.
For some reason, I always imagine local populations of backward planets under imperial control referring to those as god’s spears.
Can’t say I envy whomever got introduced to the wider galaxy by an Imp garrison deployment, but a few reactions along those lines seem likely.

Huh, this is actually pretty cool, since I always have problem with the original TIE hunter’s minimal radiator/solar panel surface area.
