Legator-class Star Dreadnought Redux

A Redux for the Legator model. This is about 80% new compared to the old model.

I wonder how well she could handle carrying a set of Star Monitor guns for a super heavy punch. Slightly unrelated, I wonder how effective would A6 juggernaut rotary cannons deployed along side A6 missile launchers and Fractal’s standard PD gun turrets be on capital ships like the Venator, Victory, Tector, Legator, and Mandator etc?

Masterpiece of Work! Please also do a fine redux of Praetor Mark II-class Battlecruiser in the future.

Where can I see the quantity and type of weapons carried on board by the updated Legator?

Ok so I did a quick count and I can’t be 100% if I got everything but this is what I counted.

Trench mounted quad super heavy turbolaser ball turrets (12)

DBY-827 dual heavy turbolaser turrets (367)

Quad turbolaser turrets (42)

Twin super heavy ion cannons (33)

Twin point defense laser cannons (728)

Trench mounted missile launchers (672)

Thank you so much for your attention and the time you spent counting the incredible number of weapons aboard the updated Legator. Once again, I want to express my respect and gratitude.

I always viewed this ship as a flagship. If you went into battle, this is the one you would command from. The reactor is fully within the hull of the ship, it’s setup with massive electronics packages, and it appears to have more armored/hull plating than most.
Going into battle with a task force of this as your flag and command ship, a couple Bellator’s, a mix of Allegiance and ISDII as the main fighting force, with a couple specialty ships (Dominator, Impellor) seems like a formattable fleet.

Nice redux – the new turrets look big – what yield are they, per barrel?

They look rather like the 175 TT twin ion cannon used by many ships. Might be that.

I like that it now has two tactical missile clusters on each side now, instead of the 2 quad 240 TT ion cannons. Those looked a bit too big to fit comfortably in the trench, and didn’t have much traversability. There’s slightly less quad turbolasers in the trench, but each is mounted on a little tower now when it wasn’t before, allowing to traverse much more.

The dorsal ion cannons are a good replacement for the trench ones.

Overall I think with the new dorsal ion cannons and the trench missile clusters, the ship’s armament is more rounded – it’s more like a giant Urbanus in weapons combination now.
