And this is only wip-1? I’m terrified and intrigued.

Its a very interesting take on the Torpedo Sphere to date. The only other good version is 1st Fleets on ArtStation shown here and here. Which his depicts the Black Ice pictures (which you can see here, page 37). I look forward to seeing the completion of this. It as usual looks amazing!!!
adding on to my comment, your depiction looks more realisitic in the sense that the Black Ice pictures and even 1st_Fleets version, how could just the small surface area in front house or store 4000 missile launchers. The number and surface area just dont add up. Housing them in rings like you have just makes sense. Along with Imperial designs out there already like the Tyrant (which yours is just **chefs kiss** )

Wow, the best iteration of the torpedo sphere I have ever seen. How big is it?

I might have counted wrong, but from what I can see, this iteration of Torpedo Sphere can launch 3384 Capital-ship grade Proton Torpedoes simultaneously.
It also has the same super-sized twin turbolasers that Fractalsponge’s versions of the Inexpugnable-class and the Golan battle station do. I’m curious as to how powerful that turbolaser is and what its rate of fire is – I got the impression that it was supposed to be a little more powerful than the standard .72 petaton twin turbolaser that’s standard armament on dreadnoughts, but slower to fire.
Maybe 2 petatons per shot, but only 1 shot every 4 seconds? Something like that anyway. Not sure if Fractalsponge has ever specifically stated the max yield and rate of fire for that one.
I much prefer this to the Canon/Legends version(s). “Big metal egg” is now “mini-Lucrehulk crossed with Doc Ock;” far more interesting from both a visual and a structural perspective.

I believe the purpose of the Torpedo Sphere was to overwhelm a planetary shield. 3384 Capital class proton torpedos would definitely do that.
It is supposed to have 4000 launchers. Worth of 50 victory class SDs.
I count 4,176 launchers

2023 has certainly been a year for Fractalsponge…
Nice! It’s an interesting take, not making it a solid sphere!
Can’t wait to see if finished.
